Projects

Currently working on the following:

  • Automatic laundry detergent dispenser modification to existing commercial washers. The design targets laundromats and local businesses with high laundry volume and multiple users.

  • Google Chrome extension to make coordinating flights with people from multiple locations easier. Particularly, looking for the cheapest options that arrive and depart at similar times. Extension being developed utilizing Google Flights API and Python

Comfortable obstructive sleep apnea prevention device

An innovative retainer-like device that uses vacuum pressure to prevent the tongue from relaxing into the airway. Using a personalized intraoral scan of the mouth, a perforated mouthpiece is 3D printed. The mouthpiece connects to a saliva trap and vacuum pump optimized to reduce excess noise.

Mass producible yo-yo

I designed a mass-producible cocktail yo-yo to demonstrate injection molding and plastic molding manufacturing processes. Autodesk Moldflow was used to simulate molding. The aim was to understand the effects of cycle time on part quality.

Safer and simpler buoyancy control device for scuba divers

Instead of altering the volume of the diver-BCD system, the system’s density is changed by adjusting the water-to-air ratio resulting in neutral buoyancy. The design employs rigid pressure vessels to prevent the effect of changing ambient water pressure which can cause runaway effects in traditional air volume-controlled systems

iPad and Macbook

I created a functional iPad prototype from the ground up using a completely new form factor, display, and features incorporating industrial design, reliability, functionality, and manufacturing while collaborating with component teams. Additionally, worked to resolve the butterfly keyboard “sticky key” issue using a low-travel scissor design on Macbooks.
